Kindred spirits…

I have a rock from the beach I got when I was a kid vacationing with my father. It’s big (think between a mouse and a rat) and worn so smooth by hundreds of years of crashing water. It’s one of my most prized possessions. Also shells. Never ends.

A quartz crystal and copper pendulum has called out to me. I’m impatiently waiting for it to come. As if I need another pendulum…

My goal is to pull a card or three every day and journal, but it doesn’t always happen like that. I love to read for others but am not quite brave enough to put myself out there as a business yet. I do read for any family who will let me though.

And my grandmother’s old, old sewing chest is my ancestor altar. She doesn’t mind either.

I use my mother’s dining room table and my father’s bureau. I’m sure they don’t mind.

I had a lovely black kitty who must have developed a dementia or a neurological disorder and went gums deep, twice, on the back of my calf after I spooked her by tripping on the stairs. They got infected which translated to three days in the hospital. So a firm NO seems in order.

Today I got one with a magnetic closure. The illusion of privacy…

I did try free knitting a wall hanging at one point a long time ago. Liked that until I made a mistake and couldn’t figure out how to come back from it. Today I got a journal - 5x7”, lined, metallic cover with a magnetic closure. I’m going to use it if it kills me.

I’ve used composition books (boring) and new “journals” that look like old tomes (intimidating). And I start all gung ho and lose interest pretty quickly. I must be looking for that journal that will make me write.

That is so gorgeous! I love tourmaline too. I used to have a beautiful green and gold tourmaline ring but one year I was broke and sold it. I’ve regretted that ever since.

And thank you. I love it. As soon as I saw it I knew it had to be mine.
