Everyone is absolutely entitled to their own opinions and feelings about different shops. Though, there's just a point where it becomes aggressive and harmful. Awareness is one thing, shaming and putting people on blast is another thing

Or I'll see people ask questions about a model, shop, or pour, and someone immediately follows up with "hey there's other stores to buy from instead :)" in such a demeaning way. I'd rather uplift other people and be excited with them over their purchases! Because that's what's fun

I've noticed it's gotten really bad in every toy "group chat" (discord, telegram, etc.). People are being so negative towards other people and shops. It almost feels like it's reverting back to Tumblr behavior tbh. Like I'll see people excited about a purchase, then someone go "but that shop is bad"

I agree with you 100%. I think the internet as a whole became a much bigger echo chamber during quarantine, and I don't think many communities ever recovered from that. In the toy community, I've noticed a much greater tolerance for people just outwardly being negative for such tiny issues

There are definitely toy companies I dislike, but I'm not going to make public remarks at someone. It's unproductive to shame people in the way community members have been doing as of late. As someone who's been on the end of it multiple times, it feels horrible.

point is, I don't like seeing people shamed for their purchases. I've noticed it happening more frequently recently. People are so audible about it in public toy spaces, too. It makes me really disappointed
