Ok. But why is he wearing a life jacket?

The problem isn't a technology problem it's a people one. People are always the problem.

But they aren't? LLMs are being used to find the cure for cancer, write malware, create AI slop, solve engineering problems and things good and ill. I get that most people aren't scientists, engineers, or software developers and their exposure is primarily to slop but that isn't an LLM problem.

And I'm generally down oN Gen AI, but it does have useful applications in various areas.

This is a massive overgeneralization & why it's difficult to have this conversation. LLMs are just models; some trained on other people's licensed work for some applications, but the models themselves start out empty and can be useful. Blaming slop on LLMs is like blaming a blender for a bad cake.

Yeah, sports teams are famously unprofitable - especially for billionaires who don't much care and just want to play FC Manager for a lark. I do think NWSL wants to be profitable and growing but still big disparities in attendance and stadium experiences. Been fun to watch, though!

Makes sense for the analysis. I was just wondering if expenses/debt exerted a downward pressure on the cap to avoid either a debt spiral or increased disparity. The single entity/franchise model is fascinating;would be amazing to see the streams/p&l of league and teams.

Any data on the other side of the balance sheet? Revenue is good, but expenses and carried debt may tell a more interesting story. Would love to know profitability as well.

Biggest impact is northern states - too cold in winter, much nicer in summer. There were 6 Thorns home games between June and late Sept this year. (Summer window was awful this year). Southern states would be better in winter. I do think some adjustment would be good, but no outright winners.

Feels like they have (had?) multiple ROTY contenders injuries not withstanding. Really solid foundation and far exceeding expectations going into the year. It's been fun to watch.

Flemming deserves the start after last week, question is can they press as well without Hanks on the left? I love to see the high press and hope they can still be successful after seeing it done so well against Washington.

And the music. The music absolutely completes this film.

I forgot Alt text! Picture looking down on a bright pink tulip with a yellow center.

That, and gerrymandering. Safe seats allow for more extreme views to prevail especially over time. Works on the left, too.

Feels like disrespecting their audience to think we don't know the difference between choosing a president and deciding which restaurant we want to go to. Turning everything into a commodity needs to be challenged constantly

Can we start calling it the "shitty replacement theory"? Seems a way more accurate description for this garbage.

*Yes, I know how "great" is being used here, but think it needs to be mocked and given zero linguistic credibility.

This was a great interview - thanks for publishing it!

yes - 10 unexcused absences and you're out (can't run again) Quorum rules change would be better, but it's something
