Ooh, the last time was after Ernie and Nell retired, taking the Sun's wooden dart board (which Ernie soaked every night). I think it went on a couple of years after that, around 1975 -ish.

I am intrigued Richard. It has to be at the top of the town, as the Slade which runs under the town would surely prevent this from being built.

As you go out of Littlebury towards Saffron Walden, on the right is North End Lodge where my Grandparents were in service. I have always thought the beautiful village to be my spiritual home as I spent much of my childhood there.
