After a week that brought tough economic news and polling showing views of economy still sour, most say President Trump's focus is too much on tariffs — which they believe will end up raising prices — and not enough on lowering prices.

Pardons for J6 are mostly supported by Trump’s voters today, though not by the public overall.
For context, Rep/Trump backers’ disapproval of the events on J6 has softened in polling over time in the years since.

Many Democrats describe themselves as "demoralized," along with being "exhausted" and "concerned" about U.S. politics when asked to choose descriptors. Few say they're even "interested," even fewer say they're "motivated."

People are not sold on the idea of buying Greenland. Most Trump voters would approve of it, but not universally, and it's not a popular idea beyond that.

It does shed an important light on how Americans think Trump thinks, though: a lot of them feel he's just leveraging for a larger negotiation.

Most Americans are in favor of deportations of immigrants who are in the country illegally, as voters were during the campaign, though not of using the military to carry that out.

Our new polling ahead of the inaugural. A majority are optimistic about the next four years with Donald Trump, even more so than they were in 2017 before his first term.

In this hyper-partisan era, though, optimism for incoming presidents isn't quite as high as it once was.

So we polled about the drones... plenty of uncertainty about who's controlling them... but the public widely suspects the U.S. government is keeping info from them...

Folks are a little more likely to say they'll avoid political talk when they think they'll be with a mix of different voters at dinner...
