The poor unloved Zenne, totally underground inside the Brussels city boundary, creeping back above ground between a car warehouse and a recycling plant as it heads towards its rendezvous with the Dijle, then onward to the Rupel, the Scheldt and the sea.

Very fine day enjoying my Christmas present from the younger kid - pair of tickets to “Betoverende Modernisme: Donas, Archipenko en La Section d’Or” expo at KMSKA, lunch at a favourite restaurant and tickets for “One Battle After Another” at De Cinema. Excellent all round.

Ha, here in 🇧🇪 @dzyrl.bsky.social were just thinking that it was the first time for a long time that we didn’t have Hootenanny on (we went with VRT’s countdown and Antwerp fireworks) - then one of the kids out partying in Brussels asked us to record it for them, and here we are

The beautifully-restored Palace of the Governors in Santa Fe is an amazing building, the oldest parts dating from the earliest Spanish colonisation in 1610, and in use in some form until New Mexico statehood in 1912.
