Our colleague Brice Böhmer, Climate & Environment Lead at Transparency International, highlights that “when vital climate funds are lost to mismanagement and corruption, it puts lives at risk."
Our colleague @BohmerBrice, Climate & Environment Lead at Transparency International, highlights: “As our world heats we’re already seeing extreme weather impacts from floods to super-storms – countries need to be taking action now to adapt and mitigate to help keep communities safe. When vital climate funds are lost to mismanagement and corruption it puts lives at risk. The government of the Philippines must do more to ensure that money intended for climate action is used to protect its people."

Great news! 🔵 Former German Bundestag member Eduard Lintner has been convicted in the #AzerbaijaniLaundromat case.

We welcome this historic step in holding a European politician accountable for their role in this massive corruption scheme.

Our statement here: anticorru.pt/3dB
Maíra Martini, CEO of Transparency International, said: “Today’s verdict shows that justice is possible, even in complex transnational corruption cases. Authorities in other countries linked to the Azerbaijani Laundromat scheme should follow Germany’s example and take action to ensure that those who took bribes and helped whitewash repression do not escape scrutiny.
