Yes, exactly correct. I think a lot of prominent columnists, celebrities and politicians use “gender critical” as some kind of euphemism, because it just sounds benign.

I use “anti-trans” instead of gender critical, because it is a clearer description of the logical end point of their movement. Gender critical sounds academic and abstract. The goal is to make life so hard for trans people as to excise from public life.

Being anti-trans is an accelerant to all kinds of beliefs. Sharon Davies is decrying 15 minute cities, Graham Linehan is defending ICE murders, Julie Burchill is arguing that Elon Musk’s child pornography generator machine is good actually, and Suzanne Moore is suggesting we kill all dogs.
