Fragment of a border panel showing a vine scroll with peacocks, excavated from the House of the Bird-Rinceau in Daphne, a suburb of Antioch on the Orontes has been recreated in its original dimensions (116.8 cm x 381 cm) by local artists (@Haas_mosaic) for the exhibition at the Antakya Sanat Müzesi (Antioch Museum of Art). Today, the original mosaic panel is being displayed at Worcester Art Museum

To you Antioch is an old city which every now and then reveals its beautiful Roman mosaics here and there (the one below has recently been found in a hotel construction)

To me Antioch is heartache, full eyes, broken memories, a city full of life till (and not since) 06 February 2023, 04:17.❤️😢🥀
