We do need a thing in #MarioKartWorld that can easily allow players to select our preferred variant of certain vehicles no matter what character we use.
Here's what I discovered as soon as they put out the 1.3.0 update for this game: You can become these NPC characters with different colored vehicles, though it's fully usable in friend rooms unless you reselect your character, which resets your vehicle color.
