We look into who 'broke' that story, where that figure came from, the timing of the release of such a figure and how outlets like the ABC ran with it with little interrogation

A nurse was shot in the head while working in Gaza's Nasser hospital. The horror was captured on camera. Here in Australia, it wasn't deemed newsworthy - only covered by one outlet. Over at SMH, we spotted four stories about Nicole Kidman's divorce on its home page alone, including an opinion piece

This is a bizarre thing to publish on the day the federal court awarded a journalist $220,000 for being unfairly dismissed from an on-air role for their political views.

Justice Rangiah in his own words in Lattouf v ABC penalty decision.

The broadcaster has been ordered to pay $150,000. I was previously awarded $70,000 for hurt and distress.

ABC has spent in excess of $2 million on legal fees.

The real cost to Aunty is immeasurable.
