Block play and loose parts was a hit today. The children were using blocks,peg people and animals to make themeparks, schools, zoos and castles! Lovely imaginative play in action.

Miss Jackson has been teaching the new skill of identifying odd and even numbers to 10 or 20. She introduced the children today to Odd Todd and Even Steven and taught them a skip count strategy. Afterwards, the children tried to sort numbers into the odd or even hoops!

Ask us about Future Me day at home. It was amazing! There were loads of career stalls to visit with lots of resources and tools/equipment to explore. So much fun to be had. Well done p1s

Today we thought about some skills and qualities we may need in our future careers! We build so many of these through our play. Just take a look at how we experienced working in service industries and construction, as well as beginning to learn about money-another essential skill. What a busy day!

This morning at our craft area, we tried using cardboard to print and make a 2026 New Year firework picture. It was tricky at first but we enjoyed trying this printing and pressing technique. We then added glitter, sprinkles or sequins for effect. We are enjoying learning lots of new art skills!

The excitement was real this afternoon. Between concert practises, we played in the snow with toys and tried to free frozen polar animals. We used different materials to get them out.
