Sorta - but mostly, the structure of the language & vocab are much easier to grasp when you have an obvious example of what it means.
i.e. "The car is blue" is way easier to assimilate than "Tarrifs are inflationary".
It's also why children learn faster, brain plasticity *and* fewer abstractions.

I heard the best way to learn a language (to speak, not read/write) was to limit abstraction, might be worth investigating :)
