As a result of a Russian strike on Kyiv, a museum located at the base of the “Motherland Monument” was damaged.

It is not the first time the museum has suffered damage from Russian attacks. In June 2025, the facade of the main building was already damaged by a blast wave.

❗️On the eve of a new round of peace talks between Ukraine and Russia in Abu Dhabi, the Russian army carried out a massive drone and missile attack on Ukraine.

Energy facilities were hit. Nearly thousands buildings were left without heat in the coldest night, with temperatures dropping to –21°C.

Russia has changed its approach to attacks on Ukraine, significantly increasing the use of strike UAVs and ballistic missiles, said Yurii Ihnat, Head of the Communications Department of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.

Russia’s current attacks on Ukraine differ significantly from the strikes during the 2022–2023 heating season - previously, the Russians relied mainly on cruise missiles, but now Russia has greatly increased its use of drones. Ihnat also noted the growing number of ballistic launches.

⚡In January, Russia launched more than 6,000 attack drones against Ukraine, around 5,500 guided aerial bombs, and 158 missiles of various types — Zelenskyy.

Virtually all of it targeted the energy sector, the railways, and our infrastructure.

The site of the Russian attack on a bus carrying miners in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, as of the morning of February 2.
On February 1, Russia attacked a company bus using four “Shahed” drones. 12 people were killed, according to Oleksii Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration.

A group of “Shaheds” with online control was flying along the road, writes Defence Ministry adviser “Flash.” The operator of the first drone deliberately attacked a civilian bus — the blast wave caused a traffic accident, and people were injured.

Operators from the territory of Russia clearly saw that the target was civilian and still decided to strike.
