Remind me why Mississippi is sending troops to control D.C.?
The Jackson, MS murder rate is 4× DC's. 🔥☠️
#optics #kabuki

Oh… and I'm not suggesting troops should be used to control crime - they are not at all trained for it.
Rather: the administration's motives are clearly not what they claim.

Trump pardoned Paul Walczak, a nursing home executive who illegally withheld millions from his workers' paychecks (while buying a luxury yacht).

The pardon came after his mother attended a $1M-per-person Trump fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago last month.

Everything is for sale.

100 billionaire families spent $2.6 billion in the 2024 election.

70% of these donations went to Republicans.

Now, Republicans in Congress are gearing up to slash essential programs to pay for another round of tax cuts for the rich.

This is what oligarchy looks like.

If Trump can disappear green card holders for protesting war, he can disappear you.

If he can disappear visa holders for criticizing him, he can disappear you.

If he can disappear asylum seekers for tattoos, he can disappear you.

We must speak out now — before there is no one left to speak out.

Online Workshop this Sunday on Sus Chords.

"Are you happy with how you improvise or comp over sus chords? You may know to use the Mixolydian scale… and that it is important to emphasize the fourth note… but still be unable to create satisfying melodies. Let’s fix that once and for all."

Sean Devine's terrific 2016 play about my dad and the infamous Daisy Ad is finally having a Bay Area premiere on Thursday in Foster City.

It's been a joy getting to know Michael Champlin, who plays my dad. Here he is interviewed about the role and the show. It's so relevant today, more than ever.
