You seem to have your own idea about what these things are. And that's okay. But the fact is social democratic policies are not by default socialism. It would be very convenient if this were true as any progressive social policy under any system of government can be seen as a victory for socialism.

I'm not denying social democratic policies align with some of the goals of socialism. But the fact is they are different, and the examples you provided were examples of social democratic reform.

Those things are not socialist they're social democratic. You can have sensible social policies within a free market capitalist economy.
