I do not recommend getting stuck in a minor hailstorm while driving. It is quite scary. The hail wasn't big enough to cause any damage but it came down all at once it seemed. Little bit smaller than an Altoid mint. I was 2 mins from home when it happened so I'm home safe. But goddamn.

>> (for some reason this part won't post so here's a disjointed thread) the guy did all the woodworking in his backyard. Project O was there as well as a Coast Guard boat. The weather was turning fast so everything was getting ready to haul ass back to safe moorings.

Then instead of walking back (it was a mile one way) and risk getting stuck in a storm, I took the water taxi back to the Normandy (a 5 min boat ride vs 25 min walk lol) and got some awesome views!
I'm bummed I couldn't share it with Fish (we love doing things like this). But I'm happy I went!

That line put the FurPoc reg line to shame with how long it was and the wait lol. But it was a good tour! Just the upper deck but still pretty awesome. She'll be decommissioned once she returns to Norfolk at the end of the month. Such an honor to walk her deck! And they let us do pics of the front!

Waiting in a very long line to tour the USS Normandy at CT Maritime Festival. Worth it in order to see/tour such a gorgeous ship! Unfortunately (but understandable), no photography while onboard. I will certainly miss Fish geeking out over warships and all the information she would be giving me.

I have been having a hard time sleeping and staying asleep lately. Today it worked out because I got to see these pics and even get a phone call from Fish! She's doing great and loving it so far! She says it's so surreal and vast and makes her feel so small. ❤️

Last night I said my final goodbye to Dante. She turned 17 on the 5th. I had her since she was about 2.5 months old. She was the best nurse when you were sick or sad. I will miss her forever.
