there's a world's difference between kyouji being the one who actively suggested satomi's name for the tattoo and kumicho deciding it for kyouji and idk how i feel about this yet

this made me check the og copy in japanese and since the anime provided new hints and context on the process i just realised that kyouji never actually said "i went with satomi" in the manga but rather something closer to "thus, (satomi) was carved"

i'm late but i think anime and manga def take place in 2 separate universes. the fact that anime!kyouji has slightly different lines to manga!kyouji proves this, so ig wym-sensei used the anime as an opportunity to explore what it'd be like had kyouji been imprisoned for 3 yrs prior to The reunion
