Mostly thoughts on books. And Magic the Gathering. And food. And cute animals. Oh and gay things.
Western-esque, fantasy take on “You’ve Got Mail.” Typical enemies to lovers trope. And a sweet, warming read that feels like a deep, comforting hug. One of the most cozy reads that I’ve ever read - and one that didn’t bore me. Wonderful, uplifting read. 4.25/5⭐️ #booksky #UndertakingofHartandMercy

This is the single greatest sci-fi book I’ve ever read. That’s it. That’s the review.

I don’t think #PierceBrown has any chill. I don’t even think he knows what that word means. I’m 50% in on #GoldenSon, and I think I might die - my heart can’t take all this adrenaline 😳😳😳 #booksky

Ok the most interesting part of the reading wrap ups for 2025 is the average pages per book. I read 48 in 2025 and the avg pages was 486. This seems a little high? What’s yours? 🤔 #booksky

A sweet story about a family of women who can travel time. Sort of. Part thriller, part sci-fi, part love story, and fully enjoyable. The pacing was great, the characters relatable, and just long enough to keep my interest but not overstay it’s welcome. 4/5⭐️ #TheUnmakingofJuneFarrow #booksky

This took me 10 months to finish lol. But it was well worth it. In terms of “oh shit” moments, this book had an abundance. Such memorable moments that will stay with me for years and compel me to the next book. 4.5/5⭐️ #WordsofRadiance #booksky

This book’s description was “…queer romantic thriller” and I was like SAY LESS. #booksky

I just realized something. Reading #TheStormlightArchive is basically like watching a TV series. It’s not like reading a regular novel. It’s a long, TV-like series with episodes leading up to the season finale or #Sanderlanche. 🤔 #booksky

Ok. I’m finally finishing up #WordsofRadiance this month. I started it back in Feb 😅 #Sanderlanche is well underway. “THE WORDS ARE ACCEPTED.” 😳😳😳 IYKYK. I got GOOSEBUMPS YALL.

As a horror story, I don’t think this book delivers. Character are flat, fairly unteresting with little room to discover any meaningful depths. Only thing that kept me going was the mystery of “Rabbit,” and when said mystery was solved, the payoff didn’t feel worth it. 3.25/5⭐️ #booksky #redrabbit

My reading buddy said this was an interesting take on this sci-fi trope. And it is. What I didn’t expect was it to feel like a thriller. What a welcome surprise. It was a short but intense ride - one that was thoroughly enjoyable. I wonder if the TV show is any good 🤔4.5/5⭐️ #booksky #darkmatter

There is a careful, deliberate magic to answering the most pressing questions from the first book and adding even more mystery in the second. You keep me satisfied and desperately yearn for more. That is this book. Near perfection. 4.76/5⭐️ #TheStrengthoftheFew #booksky

I was utterly confused for a good portion of this book. What an absolute mess. And so much fun. I can’t explain it, but despite the chaos, I had a blast reading. Just don’t ask me to explain the book - because I won’t be able to do it. Well at least. 4.25/5⭐️ #TheAnarchistsCookbook #booksky

If you loved the first book, be prepared to be have your expectations flipped. This mostly a growing love story that you can’t help but cheer on. The last 20% had me furiously page-turning - left slightly breathless in anticipation of things to come. 4.5/5 ⭐️
