Ultimately EV5 design would resonate well in US but need for less pricey 400V architecture to compete in China and APAC won out. Canada will reap the benefit fir now. Will be interesting to see how market responds in markets with ev3 and EV5 having same powertrain

I wish our EV6 had more love but its design is also cognizant of when it was first designed. In 2019, batteries were almost 2x as expensive and 300 mi of range was the golden principle that an EV5 Sportage-esque design couldn't hit. EV5 was designed to stop the bleeding in China
