It seems these guys are among the most charismatic of mushrooms- they certainly are visually striking! #fungifriends
Four amanitas are visible, some just starting to emerge from the first duff, but the one in front has stayed to lengthen it's stem and spread its cap. We can see that we're looking under the branches of some conifer that's shaded out any plants that wanted to grow under its branches, and in the back ground, we can see some sedges growing out of very wet soil.
