That's one way to put it I suppose. For the most part, I didn't hang out with military people after COB - I felt like I was on another wavelength with them.
But professionally speaking, there was a certain kind of comfort of having a "map" that told you exactly where you were in the system hierarchy

I watched a video about how someone found their love of DS2 by delivering all packages by foot. I decided I'd try it for the end-game content and I honestly wish I had done this since the start. The preparation, quiet dread of a journey, long march, and ultimate delivery is downright therapeutic.
