This is a thing in PSO2 NGS too. They identify the bodies as Type 1 and Type 2 instead of M or F, and while some of the gear pieces look very similar, there's huge differences for CAST parts: Type 1 parts transformer like, most Type 2 parts feminized. True a/gender/fluid designs are overlooked.
