Data transfer is less a steady thing and prone to spikes so knowing that the floor of qualification for a cable like a Cat6 is 500Mhz/Mbps up & down I feel better about managing the peaks smoothly!

Bandwidth needs are also only going up, inexpensive upgrade to futureproof a network for awhile.

Also, what a cable needs to do to qualify as 5e is far less - the cable can support "up to" certain speeds but due to it being based on a design that originally was meant for 100Mbps - the improved version going beyond that is more likely to run into network jitter/noise.

Main issue comes down to network congestion especially if your modem is connected to a separate router servicing an entire home and multiple phones, an extra laptop, and a TV.

Headroom is nice, plus a lot of wear from bending, temperature, and general age can degrade an older cable as well!

It is a super inexpensive upgrade (you can get 6 feet of CAT 7 Ethernet for less than $10) if you feel like your network is bottlenecking at all!

A healthy circular flow of govt structure is for government to be accountable to people, people accountable to employers, and employers accountable to the government.

Instead, government is also accountable to employers only. The result is this crunch on working people. There is no counterbalance.
