the more time i spent obsessing over my own self-development, the more i fell further and further away from reality. the deeper you look inward, the more of the world around me that you might miss.

it took me yrs before I realized that my “too much self awareness” was actually a very bad thing because i was sold on the idea that it was the path to maturity, enlightenment and even success
