She's 19!
We've had her on a pain and kidney management plan for a few years now, and up until recently, it was working quite well. We're not sure if she pulled something the other day, or if her arthritis has just progressed too far :(

Trying to function today as I worry about our ancient cat's failing health.

OGs will know she's been an integral part of the business for nearly two decades, so while this isn't a surprise, it's still incredibly difficult.

An all-time favourite of y'all: my take on "Ophelia". Seeing how old this piece is (it's been effin' 14 years already ...) there is a lot I would do differeynt today, but I think it doesn't take away of the impact this picture has.

Her palms are raised out of if the water in a gesture quoting the "Ophelia" painting by John Millais. Different flowers float next to her on the water's surface. While the rest of the image is rendered rather realistically, her hair underwater is way more stylized, with golden strains interwoven into it.

Canada Post's tariff rate (prepay, via Zonos) is what the actual rate is supposed to be, at 35%, but we'll have to wait until either their strike ends, or the SC rules the tariffs are illegal and removes them, before I enable US shipping in the shop again.

I *can* ship to the US right now. HOWEVER! For reasons I cannot fathom, tariff rates vary by carrier.

Chitchats' tariff rate (prepay): 40%
UPS's tariff rate (on delivery): between 60% and 88%

As a heads up to non-US folks with open orders, our postal service is on strike.

We 100% support the workers (our national postal service should be treated as a service and funded as such), but unfortunately, shipping has been paused for the time being.

The government is reducing service standards and Canada Post’s biggest advantage: its nationwide network.

This plan is about cutting back the postal service instead of investing to give it new revenue tools through things like postal banking. It’s shameful.
