On the one hand, she had nasty-feet (pee and litter-crusted) twice this morning and tracked them all over the bed.

On the other hand, she's feeling well enough to use the litterbox and walk around. And she's a SAINT about baths and the hairdryer.

Took her to the vet today for a QoL and pain management consultation.

The bad news: She's old as heck and at some point soon-ish, there will no longer be a good balance of QoL and pain meds, and we will have to say goodbye.

The good news: Today is not that day.

Oh and don't forget, as soon as it's a fursuit/furry, people stop taking even serious violence seriously (thinking of MFF 2014 gas attacks, a literal act of terrorism, and how the news crews laughed about it).

Adding to this as someone who's been assaulted in fursuit: you will not see the punch coming, and even with foam, it's going to hurt (and god help you if your mask isn't foam).

yeah, she's been on it for about 18 months and it's helpful, but her arthritis has gotten worse, so she's also on gabapentin. I might need to up her dose and/or frequency. She's also low on potassium (she's on meds for that, too), which has made her more wobbly :(

Sadie's having a rough arthritis day today. It's so hard to tell at this age/stage what's a bad day and what's A Sign.

(We are logging her QoL daily, but it's too early to know if this is just a bad day, or a bad turn.)
