1895 advertisement for the Folding Bath Tub Company

The front of an 1895 annual catalog for the Folding Bath Tub Company from Marshall, Michigan. The cover is rectangle shaped with a smaller rectangle rope like frame with swirls and a flower on the left. A circle in the middle has a drawing of a long-haired woman with her hands up in her hair which is blowing to the right. Her head is tilted and she is wearing a dress with the knee length skirt swirling out to the right as well. The wind is blowing grasses and what appears to be clouds over water behind her. The words below the circle say "The Comforts of a Modern Bath Within Reach of Every Home" A page from an 1895 annual catalog for the Folding Bath Tub Company on faded brown paper with a slight diagonal crease across one quarter of the way down. The right side shows a drawing of a cabinet almost like a Murphy bed style with a bathtub on the left side folded in the down position. There is a water tank behind it for holding and dispensing hot water and on the right side is a mirror and three doors below as well as a towel rack above the mirror. It is sitting inside a home on a tiled floor and labeled as the "French Pattern" Beveled French Plate Mirror Oak Cabinet with Raised Panels. It is sitting inside a home on a tiled floor and labeled as the "French Pattern" Ash Cabinet with Flat Panels "A Unique Bath at a Moderate Price" This is an 1895 page from a catalog for the Imperial Folding Bath Company. It shows a person sitting in a small tub shaped like a chair with an enclosed foot area. There is a striped canvas or fabric part at the top which covers them up to the neck. This is labeled in an old fashioned font as the Sanitary Bath Chair which is described as the "best known means for the preservation and improvement of health, and for the prevention or care of disease, and it effects these results by the production and maintenance of a healthy skin, which can only be done by opening and closing the millions of pores in its surface."
