I wish someone turned these into Dandori games.

Almost Dandori games.

More dandori games.

Stopped reading after the word Beyblade.

Everything about that looks cool and then it became a reminder of what happens to most interesting concepts on Steam and I'm honestly not shocked it's not doing so hot.

Did the limiter cut feel any different in its unnerved form?
Also fuck you so much, I'm SO jealous! hahaha

How do you feel about mapping SF64's shoot and bomb to the triggers? It lets you hold L+R for non-targeted charge shots, hold C-Down/Break and shoot at the same time.

I guess the issue is that you would equally shit bricks if you were to build an equally "midranged" pc now. It's an unfortunate byproduct of it being a Mini PC with a dedicated GPU, which just further bumps it up in price compared to some fuckin Beelink or whatever.

Reminder that this thing is weaker than a PS5.

Character action fans are some of the dumbest fuckers I've ever met. I made this in like two minutes because these games at their core are N64 Zelda x arcade games and according to the experts "character action" has no rpg mechanics because those are evil or they're new and invasive bc of soulslikes

tl;dr

The former, but even that is complicated and not as easy as "you must be this skilled to enter", as people who argue the latter tend to frame it as.

To be a bit less dramatic, it's similar to how someone who learns their second language, perceives any tier above their level "close to fluent", while those even a single tier above those can easily hear that they're not.

We perceive everything as a mountain that isn't the hill we stand on.

It's a symptom of how we all tend to de-humanize the process. People culturally tend to imply something is or isn't in someone's nature, rather than them being nurtured into where or what they are.

1cc's aren't made for freaks of nature, they're made for all of us and all it takes is interest.
January 8, 2026 at 7:16 AM
I've gotten a few 1cc's in indie shmups that clearly aim for arcade design, but I'm still struggling with arcade 1cc's. What does that make me? There are people who have cleared Ketsui, Garegga, DOJ, Gunvein and more, and they still call themselves not very good. What does that make them?
January 8, 2026 at 7:16 AM
People consider 1cc's the thing that "pro players" do, as if there can't be anything that bridges the two, let alone anything developing a casual player into a somewhat intermediate one.

You're either a normal person who plays casual, or a crazy pro player in the eyes of those who argue the latter.

That's so fucking sick

That shit happened to me with my first big discord server friend group. Basically decided after 5 years I should go fuck myself, because I had just kinda stopped trying to fit in and it turned out masking less caused more arguments.

Things are much better now honestly, but I still feel it.
