I think the Rapids heavily advertise
Messi et al and he doesn’t play. And moving the game is a massive inconvenience and disrespect to STM: Undoubtedly worse seat location, farther from the pitch, paid parking, and more expensive concessions to name a few

Smith has been saying that since the Rapids Way Op-Ed in 2017. Why should fans believe or trust anything he says. They’ve made the playoffs 3 times since then. Not really perennially competitive.

It’s not the money or the player. It’s the nonstop rebuild and a front office and club led by Padraig Smith that are absolute clueless. The Rapids have the richest non-country/non-sovereign wealth fund owners and they do not invest in a competitive product on the pitch. Success is an anomaly.

So everything but the actual product we are there to see? I’ve had STM since 2011. No desire to see more rebuilds.

Money aside, why should any fan renew as long as Smith is involved in the club? The NWSL team will be more competitive from day 1.

I believe there are more misses than hits. Most importantly there is the tendency to not add quality and depth. The pattern seems to be make the playoffs, not improve the team, and start rebuilding. The cycle continues.
