This week, AJAC had the honor of attending the Second Chance Act Conference in Philly!

Through a 2022 grant awarded to the WA Dept. of Corrections, we’ve expanded our Manufacturing Academy by training 120+ individuals and helped nearly 1/3 start apprenticeships post-release.

Our team will be taking an extended holiday break starting Monday, December 23rd, and we'll be back on Thursday, January 2nd, to kick off the new year!

Last week, we proudly graduated 42 students from our Manufacturing Academy programs in Everett, Seattle, and Tacoma!

Now, our graduates are ready to take the next step as our Career Navigation Team connects them with employers offering registered apprenticeships!

Thank you, Thurston County EDC, for inviting us to the Regional Economic Forecast and Innovation Expo! We had a fantastic time showcasing AJAC's apprenticeship programs and connecting with attendees about the future of manufacturing. Plus, our custom keychain engraving station was a hit!

We stopped by our Manufacturing Academy at Bates Technical College last week to catch our 22 students in action as they machined their class projects!

From manual mills and lathes to dial calipers, deburring, math, and blueprint reading, they’re putting their training to work.
