i am always struck by the neo-victorian worldview of these people. for them, leisure is something you earn through success in the market. if you want help to raise your children, you’re on your own unless you have money. and if you have money, then you have earned the right to free time.

i am always struck by the neo-victorian worldview of these people. for them, leisure is something you earn through success in the market. if you want help to raise your children, you’re on your own unless you have money. and if you have money, then you have earned the right to free time.
