Timeline cleanse. This lovely lady has been visiting us every day because we left our pumpkins out for her and now she is very unbothered by us and basically knocks on the door to say hi every afternoon. I took this picture from about 3 feet away.

I’m finding the top read books this year on Goodreads very telling. Memoirs were dominated by Mormons behaving badly and Science Fiction was dominated by warnings of fascism and authoritarianism. Curious and incredibly indicative of the year we just had. 🧐

Per Apple Music, my top three listened to artists this year were Alanis Morissette, Brandi Carlile, and Kelly Clarkson (Pink is also up there). Per Duolingo, I’m a top 1% learner and my streak is at 856. My top 10 songs are below. Whew. I have now fulfilled my social media disclosure obligations. 😂

Is it bad if we just don’t put ornaments on it? Also the ladder was a pain to get in here. It may be staying. Also why did I think a 12 foot tree was a good idea again? I’m 5’1”, which puts me completely at the mercy of the whims of boys for the top half of the tree. 😬

23 years ago these babies who thought they knew everything married each other. Now, 6 moves, 7 college degrees, one baby and two dogs later, they finally know enough to know how very little they know. Happy anniversary to my Lobster. Thanks for unlearning all the things we thought we knew with me.

Please admire the very first limes that I grew all by myself!!! Last spring I bought a lime tree, a lemon tree, and a mandarin orange tree and they fertilized each other, so the lime was orange inside and was the loveliest tasting thing I’ve had since leaving Florida.
