Assuming European countries come through on their support of Zelensky, I dont see why he would try to make a deal with trump. Zelensky wouldnt get full support from trump, nor would trump help to get putin to stop the war he started.

Add to the fact that our government is based more on a honor based system, then true blockades, and laws designed to limit how the president moves. Trump is exposing the weaknesses in our democracy that were around during its creation

It's always been a power struggle. It was clear when the democratic party was first created. A civil war ensued and of course the country was never on the same page again. I think it's a fools dream to think a democracy could ever work with such drastically different perspectives of 2 parties.
