And that's Project Purple Hays finished! Decent kit, but not a patch on Revell's Lincoln MKVIII kit, upon which this appears to be based. Too many fitment issues, and parts that WANTED to be eaten by the Carpet Monster...

Right - that's the chassis, interior and engine built on the T-Bird (less one of the radiators, which pinged off to GOD ALONE KNOWS WHERE when I dropped the model) - so it's time for a final body test fit before final assembly, hopefully later today...

Interior and upper chassis work almost finished on the T-Bird build. It's time to properly get on with that complicated engine/supercharger setup next...

The doors are staying shut.
The shade of orange isn't even close to accurate.
The fitment wasn't amazing.
The decals STILL need to be finished.
Those hinges were a gimmick.
But hey - it was a birthday present from a long time ago - high time it was built. Thanks Sis!
