Its time the NHS stopped lying to trans people seeking help.

Wait times listed on GIC websites are how long people have already waited.

They do not estimated wait times, and you can see why..

The #odcamp session grid.

Digital version via bit.ly/ODC_SessionG...

Another #TipsFromLocals for #ODCamp attendees is Black Lion Games, a board game shop on the walk down to the pub this evening. Just make sure you get there before they shut at 6pm www.facebook.com/blacklionedi...

Attendees of #odcamp if you arrive early get a coffee at Press Cafe on the corner of Buccleuch Place. If you have time over the lunch period do visit Lighthouse Radical Bookshop @lighthousebks.bsky.social on West Nicolson Street literally a 5 minute walk away from the venue. Tips from local

It is #odcamp in Edinburgh tomorrow. The 10th Open Data Camp. Think this will be my 3rd. I wonder if I will ever have to travel north for one, definitely less of a chance now I'm based in Scotland.

The new Viking invasion of Scotland started very differently to the last. Firstly they came to Aberdeen on the ferry and next posed for photos.

Just trying out Gemini image generation model have put the query in the Alt text. Some nice creations of Martian lepidoptera, asked for butterflies and it's labelled up moths.
I would like the image of martian butterflies pinned in display cases ready to go on display in the martian natural history museum. This occurs in the future after humankind has tarraformed Mars and lived in the new biome for a couple of thousand years to allow species to evolve

Digging the turf off my driveway and spotted this caterpillar which was in the root layer near white clover, vetch and yellow rattle.
Help needed to identify species, think it's a moth species, thanks. #caterpillar #lepidoptera #teammoth #IDneeded

Here is the larvae of a Common Hawker (Aeshna juncea) again double life size. This was actually a tiny 6mm in body length. Clearly see the "striped pyjamas" diagnostic feature even when this small. #dragonflies #odonata #macro

Male Common Hawker (Aeshna juncea). Fairly common and widespread in Scotland, but this species has undergone significant declines in England and across Europe. https://iucn.org/sites/default/files/2024-08/european-red-list-of-dragonflies-and-damselflies-_de-knijf-and-al-2024.pdf Four-spot Chasers (Libellula quadrimaculata), a fairly common and widespread species across the U.K. Northern Damselfy (Coenagrion hastulatum) larva. This blue damselfly species is restricted to the Cairngorms and North-east Scotland. It’s a priority species of the British Dragonfly Society & the Cairngorms National Park. The spotting behind the head and hinge-like nodes in the caudal lamellae are key larval ID features. Northern Emerald (Somatochlora arctica) larva. This peatland specialist generally breeds in shallow bog pools and tunnels with lots of aquatic sphagnum mosses. Adults are often seen at the edge of woodlands or around scattered trees at the edge of moorland, but larvae may be found in pools quite a distance from trees.

We served our claim form on the EHRC yesterday and it has just changed its interim statement.

Snip one is what its statement was. Snip two is what its statement now is.

*They now accept there is no need for employers to provide single sex toilets.*
This judgment has implications for many organisations, including:

workplaces
services that are open to the public, such as hospitals, shops, restaurants, leisure facilities, refuges and counselling services

sporting bodies

schools

associations (groups or clubs of more than 25 people which have rules of membership)

In workplaces, it is compulsory to provide sufficient single-sex toilets, as well as sufficient single-sex changing and washing facilities where these facilities are needed. This judgment has implications for many organisations, including:

workplaces
services that are open to the public, such as hospitals, shops, restaurants, leisure facilities, refuges and counselling services

sporting bodies

associations (groups or clubs of more than 25 people which have rules of membership)

In relation to workplaces, requirements are set out in the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992. These require suitable and sufficient facilities to be provided including toilets and sometimes changing facilities and showers. Toilets, showers and changing facilities may be mixed-sex where they are in a separate room lockable from the inside. Where changing facilities are required under the regulations, and where it is necessary for reasons of propriety, there must be separate facilities for men and women or separate use of those facilities such as separate lockable rooms.
