Zumurrud Khatun Mosque and Mausoleum Baghdad

Zumurrud Khatun was the wife of the 33rd Abbasid caliph, al-Mustadi (r. 1170–1180), and the mother of Caliph al-Nasir (r. 1180–1225). She played an influential role in the administration of religious endowments (waqf).

Maktab Anbar is a historic landmark located in the Al-Mankana neighborhood of Old #Damascus, east of the Umayyad Mosque and a short distance from the Straight Street. Built in 1872 by the wealthy Jewish Damascene, Youssef Afandi Anbar, it is considered the largest house in the old city.
