With my 15 years experience of being around other artists I sometimes doubt that non-artists could understand us fully. There are plenty of unique quirks in it, that's why other artists could be your greatest support or your demise x') Anyway, the music question is still interesting to discuss ;)

Music helps to tune in the creative state and concentrate at work. It also helps to better express myself in art. So yeah, don't worry about it x) Many artists listen to music while drawing. Or a podcast. Or a movie. Depends on your habit ;)

Nothing weird about that. It's natural for any artist to get inspired by other media and pour this inspiration in their media to enrich their art. I too listen to music while drawing, though it's usually feisty, melancholic and sad x)
