I'm jumping from Threads earlier than I jumped from Twitter - perhaps learning to trust my instincts even faster.

Here's what I said back then:

I've been wondering what the point of Threads is (story incoming).

I loved Twitter.

It brought me so many interesting conversations and connections.
I'm surprised at the discussion about if Elmo knew what he was doing.

The obvious thing is that he'd prepared it - the slightly different angles were all planned to give (im)plausible deniability.

There was absolutely nothing spur of the moment about it. That claim is itself preplanned.

Oof. I'm currently quietly regretting this ten day sprint learning Japanese. Oh well, only seven days to go 🤣

This young girl is from a brave family my dear friend Andrea has been helping in Gaza for ages, through heartbreak and fear, and the organiser of the appeal is a friend of my beloved extra daughter Scarlett. If you're in a position to be able to contribute, I'd be very grateful.

Oh my word. The full article here is a stunningly powerful, dancingly beautiful piece of humanity. The most glorious thing I've read in years. ❤️

It looks to me as though it's now a fairly straightforward choice between UBI or fascism.

Fairly clear which side the billionaires who would have to fund UBI have chosen.
