Lovely piece by @timdowling.bsky.social! Don't try to guess the blue book though. Reminded me of Patrick Süskind's 1986 'observation', ‘Amnesie in litteris’, where the narrator also mostly remembers cover colours, but nothing else of the myriad books read. Published by @diogenesverlag.bsky.social

Only received it this morning, but I imagine you'd enjoy this one too. He offers an analytical history of philosophy: its rise and fall in antiquity (Part I); its various re-purposed utilities (Part II); and reflections on philosophy as a meta-science (Part III), ultimately a meditation on decline.

The main journey is show in three different lines: red (Hobbiton to Goblin Town); green (Goblin Town to the Elvenking's Halls); and blue (Elvenking's Halls to Erebor). There are multiple stops on these lines. There is a yellow line going back from Erebor to Hobbiton, making stops at Beorn's Hall, Rivendell, and the Troll's Lair. There is an orange line directly from the Iron Hills on the map's right side to Erebor, and a purple line from Gundabad directly to Erebor.
