Lady Like is yet another wonderful novel from the early 18th century from the inimitable Mackenzi Lee.
Lady Like: Mackenzi Lee enthralls again
When Khiyali introduced me to Mackenzi Lee via The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue, I was shall we say, not quite ready for the Age of Enlightenment. If the title had not already raised my eyebrow, the first page made me almost fall backwards in the bookstore. But it quickly became one of my favorite books to recommend especially to young people.

She deserved the SNAP benefits

What if every person who filmed themselves putting $20 inside a pack of baby diapers also posted "Fight for $15" which honestly by now should be "Fight for $20."

When I see young people who really believed that speaking out against injustice would change things, losing that hope, I think we need to reckon much more seriously with what we have done.
My very round and not quite square average

We see young candidates @omarfatehmn.com in Minneapolis or @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social in NY being bold and inspirational and winning their primaries... where is the democratic leadership supporting them?
