Heavenbreaker by Sara Wolf
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.75
Drawn in by the premise and a comment relating it to Pacific Rim, and fed by a deep evolving plot and a decent cliffhanger. I also couldn’t help but think of RR in some scenes.
Already have the sequel preordered.

The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A perfect seasonal read. The character arcs and growth were great to see unfold, and although parts of it dragged, by the end I was in love with this family. Just enough fairytale magic mixed with the Alaskan wilderness.

Follow Me to the Yew Tree by Desiree M Niccoli
⭐️⭐️⭐️.75
Another short story I enjoyed enough for the short length of it. It had a good premise and basis for the fmc and I enjoyed how it played out.

Ledge by Stacey McEwan
⭐️⭐️⭐️.37
An overly stereotypical romantasy with a headstrong fmc and a winged dark brooding mmc. Premise and world building were ok but nothing truly gripped me through the story. Some of the side characters were far more interesting at times.

The Wood at Midwinter by Suzanna Clark
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A cute short story perfect for the winter and pre-Christmas season. I loved the illustrations throughout and easily could have kept reading this if it was longer.

I’m not really rating comics or manga I read. I remember reading most of the series thus far online and I loved returning to it after a few years, and I’m excited to see how it goes forward. (still want to cos demon Ava)

The Blanket Cats by Kiyoshi Shigematsu
⭐️⭐️⭐️.75
This was advertised as a cozy book and I hoped it would be like Before the Coffee Gets Cold, but it didn’t feel like either. I understood the lessons of each story, but it didn’t feel cozy or warm in any way. I did like the all cats though.

Ten Thousand Stitches by Olivia Atwater
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
I am turning into a cozy lover and it’s fantastic. This was immensely warm and sweet and I enjoyed the relationship so so much. I may not be a big regency fan, but this fae world mixed in is great.

Spells For Lost Things by Jenna Evans Welch
⭐️⭐️⭐️.75
I probably would have enjoyed this much more when I was the right age for it, but it was just too YA for adult me. Gave some cozy vibes in the setting and bits of magic, which is the main plus for it.

Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents by Lindsay C. Gibson
⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
I don’t read self help or nonfiction often. But life events drew me to this. It gave interesting concepts and insight, but we’ll see if it’s anything of a “guide” for me going forward with my current mindset.
