Just a guy. Labor. White collar professional.

I write things about Australian politics, economics, global affairs, and international relations sometimes: sancarville.substack.com
I want to write about this topic on Substack (hey!). But, I am not from the U.S, so I have some reservations. I specifically want to look at the recruitment tactics and training (or lack thereof). I believe that the recruitment tactics would show the type of people they want in the 'organisation'.

That scenario doesn’t fit Thriving Kids, though. It’s a program for mild-moderate ASD etc.
NDIS is still accessible for higher needs.

I’ve had a brief look at those times, which is informing my statement.

They certainly were an … interesting bunch 🤣.

I’m thinking of writing a piece on it. Then contrasting that to contemporary existing candidates/choices.

Right now, polling will stay up, despite the clown show, because average punters don’t pay close attention to pol and can’t see who is being attracted. At an election, that will change.

This will be the biggest hurdle that the PHONy party will face.

Attracting talent, who will run under their brand, who seem reasonable enough for the electorate.

If only Australian’s weren’t so easily duped by big capital at election time, then we’d have such policies. All big reform, eg super profits tax, completely annihilated by big capital taking charge with mass media campaigns. Aussies buy it hook, line, and sinker. Sad :(.

People blaming immigration for their economic woes. It’s easier for them, as the economy is a very big and complex system that is difficult to understand; even for economists.

If you’re not practicing, you’re not religious. Thats logical and should be accurately reflected in the data.

How can you seek to influence things by reference to that lens, if you literally do not practice what you preach?

I still do believe that it is economic grievances, but because those things are hard to deal with and understand, an 'easy target' is chosen instead for their ire. It's sad to watch.

They know not what they do.

Yeah that’s rough. I’m sorry about that. Something similar on my end.

Agree. Many of their policies have very clear negative implications/externalities on the way things work and that can be rationally explained.
If they don’t get it after that, then just drop it, because it’s not a political pundits job to de-radicalise people; which would be the case at that point.

You should learn them, so that you can provide an adequate and reasonable retort to their supporters. Else you risk them doubling down.

People who are generally economically disaffected and taking out those grievances on easy targets, because they don’t know any better and are otherwise unable to better their own economic circumstances.

Per Taytay, I think we’ve seen this one before, and I didn’t like the ending.

Whichever way it goes, I hope it results in the least harm to the American people, whilst still able to preserve the rule of law and democratic values. I said it above, but again, I am sorry that this is happening to the American people. I feel like I’m watching Iran right now.

Very sad and also very hard to watch. Even from afar. I hope things get better soon for the American people. 😞
