I wouldn't even mind the one game if they were consistent. Seems like an appropriate penalty for doing something stupid with your stick that didn't hurt anyone.
What is annoying and even more ridiculous is that Goncalves gets nothing for his knee on Mermis... How was that not suspendable?

The TSN post cuts it so you don't actually see the hit to his face that started it. Had to slice it so thin to avoid seeing it. Hilarious... They show it 3 times but never once show the hit to McMann first.

This exactly. You can always call Cowan back up when Laughton is healthy. But give him minutes in the AHL to show he is too good for that league first.

Why do they have to be mutually exclusive? I think the power struggle was what led to the firing and Dubas wanting to explore a Marner trade while Shanahan didn't was a very real part of that struggle.

Yah, that makes a lot of sense. I can see how the stadium is not great for individuals, but I don't really understand the narrative that it is bad for _everyone_

What makes it worse than traveling to the Dome? The walk from Union to the Dome is about the same distance. I guess if you are downtown it is faster to Union... But for alot of people the trip to Downsview isn't that much further. I honestly didn't mind getting there but heard lots of complaints.

Slide Away will always be my highlight. But can't complain about the set list. And the show was definitely what you make of it.

I was there on Sunday. Definitely had a great time. I honestly don't get the narrative of how bad the venue is... It isn't downtown, but you can still take a subway. Getting in and out was actually easier than many experiences I've had at "good" venues. Sure soulless but that is pretty much the norm

With Ehlers signing a great deal, now there are officially 2 players I'm sad the Leafs missed out on. Sounds like neither wanted to play for the Leafs though, so not much they could do...
