I know! That’s why it was so stupid a thing to do. My grandpa was mad, told me there’s always an open channel out there. We were lucky it was frozen over.

When I was 13 or 14 I and my friend Tommy walked all the way across to the caves and back on a snowy/sunny afternoon. Too young to know it was stupidly dangerous, but it’s quite a memory.
