You're paying for illustrator/design services; It's not their business to know or policy what are you consuming with your adult money. lol
I think it's best to call their support and let them know that some of your payments aren't going through for no reason and that needs to be fixed, plainly.

Yeah! It might be the platform rejecting payment from people that they suspect they're buying NSFW content? but they can't just not let you pay things out of the blue. It's a very idiotic policy imo, but it's better to keep quiet regarding the nature of things you're buying. +

Creating imaginary/arbitrary enemies for convincing people to be cruel is something that Christianity has done for centuries in order to keep a few people in power over anyone else who may disagree. I thought the world was growing significantly out of that, but it seems it isn't.
