The most effective treatment for ADHD in kids is meds plus therapy. The most effective therapy is parent-supported behavior therapy to develop positive behavioral supports. Impaired emotional regulation is a pretty common executive dysfunction . Kids need to learn tools to manage their emotions.

Calling this ageism ignores the reality of cognitive and physical decline in eldery. It's not just dementia and memory. Scientific literature documents changes in cognitive flexibility, processing speed, and sometimes personality. Anecdotes about a few super-agers don't support a charge of ageism.
