They say don't meet your heroes, but "they" never met @markwaid.bsky.social. Nicest guy and despite so much writing and time spent in comics, he is still clearly a fan first and foremost. A class act. It was great to meet him at #MotorCityComicCon.

Just to reiterate, Dark Patterns by @danpgwatters.bsky.social and @cleanlined.bsky.social is the best Batbook in some time. If you haven't read it, get in that Batmobile and see if your LCS still has any copies left.

Was really trying for 'be glad that it happened, not sad that it's ending' with this. Kinda worked up until @cleanlined.bsky.social dropped that Neal Adams homage. Then it's 'damn, I'm not getting any more of this'. Great to see @danpgwatters.bsky.social maintain the stellar writing to the end.

@thetwilightzonepodcast.com Hi Tom, I'm still catching up on your great podcast and I've just listened to your ep on 'Little Girl Lost'. In discussing it, you asked the question about Twilight Zone justice and why would this family be the subject of it. In your musing on that, I think...

@thetwilightzonepodcast.com Do you still have your Facebook page going? I can't find it. Has it moved into a land of shadow rather than substance?

@thetwilightzonepodcast.com So for Halloween I'd like to host a mini-marathon - for want of better and far less oxymoronic term - of the original Twilight Zone. Given that it's Halloween, I'm focused on sci-fi and horror eps rather than moral or philosophical eps. Which four episodes would you pick?

Whew! With the eleventh issue of Batman: Dark Patterns, @cleanlined.bsky.social continues his PhD dissertation on visual storytelling. His panel design leads the eye so smoothly yet so stylishly from one panel to the next but each panel is such a feast that you want to stop and take it all in.

@themonstersaredue.bsky.social In Nicole's evaluation of 'A World of His Own', she asked wouldn't the neighbors ask about what happened to Victoria. There's another possibility that wasn't raised during this ep of the podcast that might address that question and many others about this episode...

Hey @20thcenturystudios.bsky.social , I got your next #Predator movie right here. A Predator comes to Earth during the 800-900s, lands among the Vikings but noone notices that he's not a Viking. It's your classic heavily-armed fish-out-of-water-even-though-no-one-realizes-he's-a-fish action comedy.

@danpgwatters.bsky.social I finally got the chance to read the first issue of the TZ comic and you did not disappoint. Opening and closing narration was comfortably Serlingesque. You pulled together certain elements that were familiar from TZ but put together the whole was fresh yet still very TZ...

@thetwilightzonepodcast.com still catching up on the podcast but thank you for posting Serling's speech and Q&A at UCLA in 1966. Very enlightening, and sadly still all too relevant. Maybe we haven't made as much progress as we like to think we have. Maybe it's just that history does rhyme, but...

I was just watching the #Godzilla cartoon from 1978 and now I'm wondering if Captain Carl Majors somehow escaped the two-dimensional universe and changed his name to Jonathan Frakes. 🤔

@themonstersaredue.bsky.social There are five seasons of the Twilight Zone, and you use a five tier grading system for each episode. I'd be interested in seeing you grade each of the five TZ seasons using your tiers but you can use each of the tier grades only once.

Batman 1 was good but I really don't see why it had to be a new #1 or even how it should be counted as a new #1. Same artist as prior to the Hush 2 storyline, and the in-story status quo seems to be largely the same as pre-H2, too. ...

@tomtaylormade.bsky.social Thank you for your story in #DetectiveComics1100 ! I very much appreciate that you consistently focus on the aspect of Batman that these days might get ignored even more than his detective abilities - his humanity.

Damn! Batman: Dark Patterns continues to be everything a Batman book should be. Human, smart, gritty, thoughtful, noir, tough, tragic, deep, with a strong detective element. In only one series @danpgwatters.bsky.social has written three of the best Bat-stories in recent years...

Hey #PortfolioDay!

This comics editor is on the hunt to give someone IMMEDIATE work.

Are you a comics artist who's style leans towards mainstream superhero with a manga edge?

Show me what you've got!

Obi-Wan Kenobi really is the biggest troller in the galaxy, isn't he? Sure, he's gonna get you with his light saber but he's gonna get you with the ol' Mo double-finger eye poke first. #whyioughta #woowoowoowoowoo

Astute choice by @idwpublishing.com to tap @danpgwatters.bsky.social for their new #TheTwilightZone series! From his first work in 'Batman: Secret Files 3' to his current run on 'Batman: Dark Patterns', Dan has shown he has both the social conscience and the horror chops to be a terrific fit for TZ.
