Today we went for a cross country walk. As part of my training 4kg on the ankles and 4kg in the backpack. Pretty easy but worth the extra weight .

World championship training has started for me.

World championship training has started for me.
I've been invited to join the UK squad for the Tang Soo Do World Championships. Only 3 people from our region can be put forward. At 49 my worry is I'm getting too old, recovery from injury takes longer and the training will be hard. I will be 50 when the competition happens next year.

Yesterday was National UK Tang Soo Do championships. I came away with gold and so once again British champion for my weight category . Not bad at 49. Almost every student I help teach got a gold...so I'm very proud of them.

A nice big pot of chilli.
Adding a small amount of dark chocolate to your chilli con carne has many benefits. Not only does it give a gloss to the sauce, darkens the colour and compliments the spice of the chilli , but you also get to eat the rest of the bar..

Our wolfkin hunter was eaten by a Manticore..but not before he unleashed a lighting strike (while pinned) for 16 damage... His mane was glorious and so was his death!

Our murder hobbit killed 2 of 3 bandits with first stab if her daggers. The wizard beat the third to death with a stick. I just buried them.

Checked my charging costs for the last year for my EV..equivalent of £11 a week. About 8 times cheaper than my old diesel car. over 3500 pounds a year saving.

At the in-laws..he is thinking of getting an EV ..like me. Commence the arguing...as if he's trying to convince himself not to change..even though it's his decision.

Already the bright idea of leaving early in the morning instead of travelling the night before to visit the in-laws, has lost its appeal...I should still be asleep..this is my only day I get to stay in bed!

This morning I have mostly been pre testing our coloured belts for thier next martial arts grading. Lots of 'again. .no...again.' ..practice makes perfect..and tired students. Then one of them had to fight me....

My working week at the moment..start at 8.30 finish at 11.00...but that's 8.30am to 11.00pm
