All these workshops and auditory investigations have led to the soundscape of SONIC MIGRATION!

So join us Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th October, 12-4, and experience it for yourself - before the Green Huts are lost forever.

Akila Richards (Writing our Legacy) used movement and physical connections to the huts and Seaford Beach to invite reflections on what home means and how we listen to each other.

Spending time listening and connecting in both the original (Seaford) and current (Lewes) hut locations was central to the project's focus of deep listening.

Edwina Livesey from the Green Huts project shared stories of the soldiers stationed nearby and would have used the Green Huts as a chapel.

The Green Huts started as a WW1 chapel in Seaford before migrating to Lewes. They are reaching the end of their colourful lives.

Using microphones and imagination, local young artists have been deepening to their connection to history and the experiences of people who used the huts.

A woman sitting at a desk. She wears purple nitrile gloves and is placing an artefact ready for photography under a camera mounted above her. She is lit by multiple desk lamps that illuminate the nondescript artefact. A person writes on a clear plastic bag while holding a piece of grey flint. All around them are pieces of flint in neat lines. Grey and black pieces of flint laid out on a table in neat rectangular sections. Clear plastic bags and old-looking labels sit between the ordered sections.
